"There are such a large number of windows," said Pam Englert, who was one of the first potential buyers to view the models. "It's roomy up there. I suppose the layout is really decent. And I like the area. It is so near everything."

While new construction is popping up onto every part of Southwest Florida right now, in this one area there is very that is new. Englert was excited to find something that wasn't no less than a decade old in this area.

Yvonne Breska, a Realtor with Century 21, toured the spot for the first run through recently with her customer.

"It's for individuals searching for simple support, and carefree living," Hoffman explained.

The Oaks at Whiskey Creek is located in Fort Myers at the corner of Winkler Road and Riverwalk Park Boulevard. It's minutes from shopping, in the ballpark of eight minutes to downtown Fort Myers, 15 minutes to the airport and only six miles from Bunche Beach. The community is likewise right across the street from Sonny's Barbecue where the wafting aroma of smoking meat regularly lures individuals to its doors.

"In this area you are surrounded by things inherent the '70s and '80s," Hoffman started. "This is the main new thing in this area. We simply need to get the word out that we are here, and we are the main new construction in the area."
